Nicolò Zaniolo Price Analysis

Zanilio has caught my eye in recent weeks. I'm on the fence on when to purchase him. As many of you know I'm a short term trader so my reasoning is always centred towards short term trades.

Right let's have a look at the lads PB and goal scoring record.

We'll focus this report from the day before the 19th of January.

Generally speaking he isn't a PB man judging by his past performances. So essentially goals will drive price for this lad.

12/02/2019 : 218pts (1st) :first_place_medal:4p  2 GOALS
08/02/2019 : 79pts (13th)
03/02/2019 : 87pts (35th) 1 GOAL
27/01/2019 : 66pts (63rd)
19/01/2019 : 140pts (17th)   1GOAL
29/12/2018 : 19pts (111th)
26/12/2018 : 97pts (36th)
22/12/2018 : 74pts (112th)
16/12/2018 : 49pts (75th)
12/12/2018 : -23pts (78th)
08/12/2018 : 51pts (116th)
02/12/2018 : 46pts (102nd)
27/11/2018 : 2pts (61st)
24/11/2018 : 3pts (223rd)
11/11/2018 : 40pts (114th)
07/11/2018 : 25pts (53rd)
03/11/2018 : 46pts (141st)
28/10/2018 : 0pts (192nd)
23/10/2018 : 18pts (56th)
20/10/2018 : -15pts (258th)
06/10/2018 : 18pts (169th)
02/10/2018 : 32pts (48th)
29/09/2018 : 18pts (207th)
26/09/2018 : 39pts (112th)
23/09/2018 : -15pts (175th)
19/09/2018 : -8pts (78th)

So let's have a look at this price on the 18th of January. His average price was £3.28. On the 19th on January after scoring 1 goal his price averaged out to £3.45. Quite an increase that!

8 days until his next fixture.

His average daily prices

20th 3.62
21st 3.69
22nd 3.73
23rd 3.73
24th 3.73
25th 3.74
26th 3.86

Confidence is there for sure! The 26th the day before his next game he is at £3.86. That's an increase of £0.58 so a very healthy profit.

So the 27th January he fails to find the net. His price averaged 3.87. So no drop off. This kind of means the market isn't ready to sell just yet.

His next game is on the 3rd of February.

Here are his average prices after not scoring in the previous game.

28th £3.87
29th £3.89
30th £3.90
31st £3.99
1st £4.06
2nd £4.08

This indicates a lot of faith has been put into him. Other players I've found have big drops after not scoring for one game.

Right so on the 3rd February he scores again. His price averaged £4.23. An increase again.

His next game is February 8th.

Here's what happened to his price after netting on the 3rd.

4th £4.44
5th £4.88
6th £4.89
7th £4.90

It doesn't take a genius to work out that confidence is massive!

On the 8th he fails to find the net. His price averages £4.84. His next game is then on the 12th February.

Here's his averages on the lead up to this game.

 9th £4.72
10th £4.69
11th £4.69

So a 15p drop after not hitting the back of the net. This would suggest the market saw a slight concern and maybe a slight correction.

The 12th was the CL game. He scored 2 goals in a high profile match. What do you think will happen to his price based on the history? A big rise of course. He averaged £5.42. A 73p rise. Mainly as he scored 2 goals and won PB on a CL evening.

Yesterday he averaged £5.48 and as of today £5.49. I think his price may have slowed a bit.

His next game is on Monday night home against Bologna which happens to be a single match day with only 2 games being played.

So as a short term trader what am I thinking? For a flip we would need to cover the commission of around 12p. Will he rise £0.12 from now until before KO on Monday night to cover our costs? His previous goal caused a nice increase but it dropped off a bit before the next game. So I'm a bit wary about entering a trade now on Thursday to try and get off pre KO on Monday night. I'm just not sure so in these cases I don't trade for the sake of it. Better be safe than sorry! So here's my strategy. If he scores on Monday buy immediately. He will most certainly rise! Jump aboard the hype train.

Remember always do your own research and never rely 100% on blogs and tips you see. There is a lot of pumping going on! I just give my readers factual information based on the numbers for you to decide.

Can Jamie Vardy Make Me Rich Challenge

Hey guys and gals,

I'm going to do a little experiment. I'm going to buy Jamie Vardy for £1.01 and flip him. Then onto the next player and so on for a year and see where I end up.

I want to see the effect compounding has. I've got no idea what the balance will be at the end of the year. It's not about the money but the challenge of trying to flip and build a balance of £1 to as much as possible in the space of a year. Maybe I'll have enough for a nice slap dinner somewhere. Maybe it will be enough to pay for Index Gain for a year. Who knows.

Follow along and tweet me any ideas for players under the £1.50 mark for now. As the amount goes up I'll hopefully be able to buy more expensive players.

My twitter is @footballindexnow1.

Cheers

Dembele Price Report

Lets get into some analysis.

Supplied by Index Gain here are his PB and goal stats for the season.

As you can see his PB stats are not great. Only 2 occasions in 25 has he scored 170 or over. Can't see him being a PB man anytime soon!

He's young and plays at Barcalona. His increases in price is based on goals and hype.

20/01/2019 : 115pts (9th)  1 GOAL
13/01/2019 : 16pts (30th)
06/01/2019 : 61pts (7th)
22/12/2018 : 123pts (19th) 1 GOAL
16/12/2018 : 86pts (28th)
11/12/2018 : 84pts (8th)  1 GOAL
08/12/2018 : 129pts (11th) 1 GOAL
02/12/2018 : 156pts (5th)
28/11/2018 : 86pts (7th)
24/11/2018 : 60pts (49th)
06/11/2018 : 80pts (11th)
03/11/2018 : 73pts (30th) 1 GOAL
28/10/2018 : 55pts (32nd)
24/10/2018 : 18pts (33rd)
20/10/2018 : 66pts (40th)
07/10/2018 : 13pts (96th)
03/10/2018 : 18pts (36th)
29/09/2018 : 59pts (53rd)
26/09/2018 : -3pts (114th)
23/09/2018 : 40pts (52nd)
18/09/2018 : 112pts (2nd)  1 GOAL
15/09/2018 : 193pts (6th)  1 GOAL
02/09/2018 : 170pts (5th)  1 GOAL
25/08/2018 : 160pts (4th)  1 GOAL
18/08/2018 : 89pts (18th)

Ok so let's have a look at his price the day before the start of his first game. He was trading at £4.17. No goal was scored and on the 24th the day before his 2nd game his price hadn't moved. The average price on his second game where he scored was £4.15. The market hadn't taken notice.

He rose 5p on the lead up to his next game and averaged £4.19 the day before the game. He scored his second of the season and averaged out at £4.19. No market reaction. This could come down to no G and A at this point in the season.

The day before his 4th game on the 15th September his price was at £4.11. A drop of 4p. Another goal is scored on the 15th and no movement in price. He remains at £4.11

3 days later he scores again. He rise 16p to £4.27. Maybe the FI community started to take note after 4 in 4 in the league.

His next game was on 23rd September so I'm intrigued to see what the price increase would be. The day before the game he averaged £5.57. A BIG jump in price of £1.30! It would seem 4 in 4 certainly made the index take note.

He fails to score. Let's see what happens to his price. His price increased to £5.84. An increase even though no goal and a shite PB score of 40!!!!! Maybe the hype had begun!

After this game he went on a barren spell. 7 games without scoring. Do you think his price would drop as a result? Well let me provide you with some figures. On November 2nd his price averaged £4.82. So a £0.98 drop in the space of 7 games. If you like try using Index gain and really look deeper at the price drops after each game which will give you an idea on how each game without a goal hurt his price.

His goal drought ended on the 3rd November with him grabbing a goal. His price averaged £4.80. Confidence had not been restored by the looks of it.

Another 4 games pass without a goal. His price actually increases from £4.80 to £5.10 on November 7th the day before his next match.  Not a bad rise without finding the back of the net.

The 8th he ends his goal drought and averages £5.23. A 13p increase from the day before. Confidence restored. It's weird how the market behaves. Maybe 7 games was too much for an instant reaction but 4 is ok.

His next game is on the 11th December where he scores again. Day before he averages at £5.33 so this would indicate faith has been fully restored. Game day his price averages £5.67. A big jump!

His next game is on the 16th. Day before his average price was £6.12. His price had blown up!!!! I wish I had got on but I wasn't into using Index Gain then! He failed to score. His price averaged £6.15. Confidence must have been high so no sell off.

He then plays on December 22nd. Day before his price was £6.05 so yeah a bit of a drop off but not a lot. Another goal! What do you reckon? Price increase? By how much though? He fell to £5.98. He played 68 minutes so he might have got injured. I'm not sure but it was his last game before the Christmas break so that could explain it.

His first game back was the 6th of January. Day before the game he averaged £5.99 so had remained pretty static over Christmas. He failed to hit the back of the net. Price averaged £6.02.

His next game was on the 13th January and his price after not scoring hit £6.08. Next game was 20th January and found the net. Day before the game he was at £7.24. Huge increase. Part of this rise I think was him scoring 2 goals in the cup! It just goes to show cup games do influence young hyped goal scorers!

On the 20th he scores again! He averages £8.11. What we can conclude is scoring 2 goals and then scoring another leads to a big increase when a player is in form. The back story is an important factor in the jump and that's the point of the blog post. Each player I feel has a market confidence score! So go back a few games and look at the price changes depending on the time period of good / bad form to estimate what kind of gain / drop a player will receive.

He hasn't played since the 22nd. In that time his price has increased to £10.11. Ridiculously high growth. FOMO and high market confidence has caused the rise in-spite of an injury. He could be back for tomorrows game against Real.

Remember doing your own research is really important and never rely solely on the advice of bloggers like me, or people trying to pump players on Twitter. I just present the numbers in a written format to try and paint a picture of a players price movement.

I don't currently hold this player. I won't be boarding this train until he is back from injury. If he scores in his next game I will be going BIG! I think it's too risky to get on now. I'm pretty risk adverse so it's up to you what you do.

I hope this helps!

Luka Jovic Player Report Post Christmas

I became aware of Jovic on the first day of G and A after scoring 5 goals in one game back in October. I've kept close tabs on his price movement since.

Firstly we need to work out what type of player he is.

This is what affects his price;

- Goals. His big price rise started after his 5 goals.
- He won't be winning you any MB in the near future. Potential for the odd one if an English team, Barcalona or Bayern sign him in the summer.

Here's his PB and goal stats for the season.

Green indicates a PB win.
Orange a goal.

Ok let's look at his price the day before the first G and A eligible game. He was trading at £2.30 and shot up to £2.92 on the day he scored the 5 goals.

Data provided by Index Gain Premium

02/02/2019 : 81pts (28th)  1 GOAL
26/01/2019 : 24pts (48th)
19/01/2019 : 77pts (33rd)
22/12/2018 : -5pts (201st)
19/12/2018 : 124pts (3rd)  2 GOALS
16/12/2018 : 20pts (61st)
13/12/2018 : 41pts (32nd)
08/12/2018 : 22pts (69th)
02/12/2018 : 60pts (27th)  1 GOAL
29/11/2018 : 182pts (1st) :first_place_medal:12p  2 GOALS
24/11/2018 : 90pts (30th)
11/11/2018 : 212pts (2nd)  2 GOALS
08/11/2018 : 80pts (15th)   1 GOAL
02/11/2018 : 99pts (7th)
28/10/2018 : 63pts (27th)
25/10/2018 : 33pts (32nd)
19/10/2018 : 325pts (1st) :first_place_medal:4p :star:2p  5 GOALS
07/10/2018 : 128pts (18th)
04/10/2018 : 90pts (16th)
30/09/2018 : 61pts (25th)  1 GOAL
26/09/2018 : -22pts (147th)
23/09/2018 : 15pts (83rd)
20/09/2018 : 114pts (9th)   1 GOAL
14/09/2018 : -13pts (21st)
01/09/2018 : -15pts (120th)
25/08/2018 : 18pts (77th)

This report focuses on his price movement between the 22nd December until the day before his return after the Christmas break.

His price went from £4.17 to £5.10. Clearly there was strong confidence in this player.

He failed to find the back of the net in his first game back and his price averaged £5.25 across the day of the game. Interesting considering he didn't score!

The price the day before his next game on 26th January was £5.61. So no goal in his previous game but traders still backed him strongly! Again he fails to hit the back of the net. His price averages at £5.63.

His next game was yesterday on February 2nd. The day before the game on Friday his price averaged £5.94. Up again!

So what we can say is that confidence is very high in the player post Christmas even with him not scoring in a couple of games.

He scored yesterday. This will only increase more confidence in the market for him.  The average price yesterday was £6.11. Any increase of 17p.

He doesn't play until next Saturday so with confidence in him so high at the minute I have gone ahead and purchased 50 shares at £6.18 each.

Based on the sentiment since Christmas I expect a rise on the lead up to his next game. If prices went up with no goals in 2 games I expect a rise given he scored yesterday.

I've positioned this trade as a flip opportunity. I believe his price will increase enough to cover the commission if you put him in the sell line on Saturday morning. It's just a personal tactic of mine to trade frequently. I'm doing this to get to know a lot of players in a short period of time to help me fully understand the market. I'm not in it to make huge, huge gains quickly. It's more of an education so further down the line I can trade with higher number of futures with confidence.

For those of you who don't like short term trading I still think he would be an excellent long term hold and make more money than flipping. Barcalona and Bayern are reported to be interested in the summer so this should further fuel his price.

I hope this has got you thinking about checking price history a lot closer! Index gain has been an invaluable tool for me to look at data in depth.

Happy trading!

30th January Atalanta vs Juventus

- PB Can't find it yet
- 2 goals
- Price day before game £2.37
- Price average game day £2.47

Price today £2.74

Conclusions

- It's took a while for the market to warm to him.
- After a good run his price didn't increase much over the Christmas break.
- The 4 goals in the cup pushed his price up by 10p.
- His price after the league game was lower than after the 4 goals putting himself on the FI map.
- Price up by 10p from the day before the latest match until fulltime.
- Big increase in price to £2.74 as of 17.40pm today. 27p rise.
- The question now is if the market has took note of his incredible form. Bagging 2 against is a very good way of making traders take note.
- What happens if he fails to score? I sense a pretty big drop off bearing in mind single goals don't do much for his price. But the market is starting to like him! Tough call.
- Next game is a while away. It's Monday 4th February away at Cagliari. Another few days growth and only 3 games being played so I fancy people buying in after the weekend.
- He has scored 8 at home and 12 away from home. So isn't afraid to score on his travels.
- My recommendation would be buy now and flip just before KO as his price isn't too high and think its possible to beat the commission. Higher risk traders my advice would be to buy and hold but only if you think his form will continue. One bad game he might get away with a big drop but 2 I can see a sell off. Play close attention to his daily price.

Remember this is only my opinion. Make sure you always do your own research before buying a player.

After doing this research I have gone and purchased 73 shares at £200.02. The aim is to flip prior to kick off on Monday.

The main focus on this report will be on average daily price looking at player form based on PB and G+A stats along with current market sentiment. I'm certainly not here to pump players. I've been trading since August so make sure you also do your own research before buying any player I mention in these blogs.

Let's have a look at his PB stats for this season.

01/09/2018 : 94pts (49th)
25/08/2018 : 84pts (44th)

An initial glance we can see he has posted some very decent scores. These are highlighted above in green.

What we can say from this is he is a capable PB player. I don't know much about him as a player. I generally just look at stats. To gain more of an insight you could look into the make up of each score. This is something I don't have time to do but if any of you can give some kind of insight get in touch ot leave a comment below.

Next up we'll have a quick glance at his goal scoring record. Open this page in another tab, We'll be using this in our analysis.

https://www.whoscored.com/Players/326413/Fixtures/Kai-Havertz

So now onto some analysis.

24/08/2018 - The day before his first game of the season was £2.57. On the day of his first game on 25/08/2018  he posted a poor PB score of 84 points and his price averaged £2.55. So a small drop.

He rose to £2.59 on the day before his next game on 1/09/2018. Another crap score of 94pts followed. Still waiting to find the back of the net! His price averaged £2.62.

14 days would then pass before his 3rd game of the season in which time he had a couple of minutes in Germany's home against against Peru.

Leading into his 3rd game on 15/09/2018 his average price the day before the game was £2.75. So around a 13p increase. I don't know exactly what caused this price increase so if you know please leave a comment below. A 3-1 away loss to Bayern followed with a score of 1 point. So what did this do to his price? Not much! A one penny drop.

On the 20th of September his team was playing away in the CL to Razgrad. After his crap PB score and lack of goals in his prior game he dropped to £2.70 the day before the CL fixture. At last Kai scores! 2 goals and a PB score of 219. No divs earn't but came second that day. As a result his price averaged £2.82 on that day!

Three days pass before his next game on 23/09/18 against Mainz at home. I tend to look at day before average price so I can get a picture of the impact of game day average. So the day before the Mainz game his price shot up to £3.35 from his fine CL performance. As we delve deeper in this report we'll look at price impact upon both positive and negative performance to paint a picture of his price movements. So going back to the game he scores again and posts 179PB.  His price increases to £3.47. It would appear that trader confidence is really starting to take shape.

A few days later on 26/9/20018 they play Dusseldorf away. His price the day before hits £3.61. Clearly there is a lot of confidence in this player! He get's an assist but end up losing 2-1 and posting a score of 59.  His price drops to £3.57. Too be expected really.

On the 29th of September they lose to 2-4 to Dortmund. The day before the game his price was around £3.61 so one bad performance didn't have too much of negative effect leading into this game. He failed to score and posted a PB of 34 points. He averaged £3.61 on the game day.

On the 4th of October they played CL at home to Larnaca. Day before the game he was trading at £3.57. What we can assume looking at the price history is 2 bad games hasn't caused much of a drop. He scores and get's an assist with a PB of 133. His price averages £3.67 so a 10p increase.

Freiberg away on the 7th is the next game. Day before the game he hits £3.75 so confidence has been instilled once more. He fails to score and posts 67PB. Average price remains the same.

His next game isn't until the 20th October. This will give us an indication of general confidence in the player. There are loads of factors in play such as growth in the platform etc so further research may be needed. From the 13th - 16th his price remained the same. Then suddenly a 10p drop in price. The day before the game he went back up to £3.74. His price averaged £3.76 with a PB of 74 with no goals or assists.

Next up on 25th October is Zurich away. Day before the game his price is £3.72. So hardly any drop. It seems bad games are not creating significant drops in price. He gets 2 assists and his price averages £3.72 and PB of 95.

Next up is Bremen away on the 28th. Day before the game price is at £3.73 so his price is stable. He scores 192 and grabs 2 goals. His price shoots up 23p to £3.96.

3rd November they play Hoffenheim at home. Day before the game his price is at £4.13. It would appear that any brace serves this lad very well leading into the next game. No goals and assists and a PB of 62 didn't have any effect on price and averaged £4.13 on the day.

Lepizig away on the 11th November. 8 days had passed since the previous game and 2 bad performances by him. How would the market react? Day before Leipzig game his price was £3.97. So confidence wasn't high. The team lose 3-0 with no goals or assists and a PB of 4 points. His price usurpingly dropped and hit £3.93. Not a massive drop on the day.

Next up was the international break. He played 65 mins against Russia without scoring.

23rd November Stuttgart at home. Day before the game £3.94. The price had bottomed out after the bad game against Leipzig. 100PB and an assit. Price £3.93 so remains stable.

29th CL at home to Razgrad. Price day before £3.85 so the poor form from his previous 3 games dropped his price. No goal and 17PB. Price average £3.85. So no damage to average price on the day.

3rd December Nurenburg away. He scores and posts 97PB. £3.91 average price that day. £3.87 the day before the game.

8th December Augsberg at home. Price remains steady around £3.90 day before game. No goal and PB of 91. Price remains static.

16th Frankfurt away Price day before £3.85 so a slight drop. No goal and PB of 143. Post game £3.82

19th Schalke Away 3.88 day before the game. Post game. £3.89. PB54. No G+A

22nd Berlin at home. Day before game £4.04 2 goals. PB 235. Post game £4.09 goo

Then it was the Christmas break. He hit £4.14 and his price was stable. Then on 30th December he had an increase of 9p to 4.23. This is when the serious increase started to happen. For the next week or so he was averaging between 10 and 20p a day. It would suggest that ending on a high before the winter break certainly helped his price increase significantly!

19th Jan Gladbach away. No goals. 65PB. End of day previous day £5.62. End of day £5.67.

26th Wolsburg away. 1 goal and 216 points. 5.99 before the game. Post game 6.38

Today his price is £6.99. So a big increase in price. Confidence is sky high!

Conclusions

- If scores 2 goals in a game 100% buy him. More so if there is a gap between fixtures as market confidence will be strong in him. Potential for a flip, but spread is getting higher on him so please be aware of this.

- A couple of bad games will not affect his price too much especially after good form.

- His last game prior to the Christmas break was excellent. Traders remembered this hence the very high price increase on the lead up to his first game back.

- Traders forgave him for a bad performance against Gladbach. His price actually increased about 30p!

- My understanding is his high PB scores are primarily based on goals.

- Market confidence is high in this player. A poor game in his next game against Bayern at home won't cause much of a drop in price. An easy cup game awaits a few days later so could help him get back on the score sheet if played. Mainz and EL game follows.

- If he fails to hit the back of the net in 2 games monitor his price carefully in the days after the 2nd game to find the bottomed out price. 3 games without scoring I'd advise closing the position as soon to end of KO as possible. Let it bottom out and then go back in depending on the next fixture.

- Try and spot gaps between fixtures. Buy on the back of a couple of good performances. Don't buy straight after a bad game/s if there is a gap between fixtures. Look to buy day before the next game.

I plan to see how he get's on against Bayern. If he scores I will be buying as soon as the ball hits the back of the net. I'm very confident of a further rise as there is a gap between the next league game. If he doesn't score I'll be topping up a couple of days before the Mainz game. I don't expect a massive drop if he fails to score against Bayern though. The trade strategy is price appreciation ad may sell depending upon performances. I'm not sure if he will be a long termer just yet. I react to performance and price for all my players. He's still very young at 19 and aligns with market sentiment.

Finally please be aware I've based this analysis purely on PB and G+A. Other factors could come in to play so please consider this.
